Week 11

Yesterday, I had the chance to take many photos, but one particular image is what I wished I had taken over all others. This image was in downtown Brattleboro as the sun was setting and behind one of the churches and being covered up by the clouds of the last rain storm, creating a gleaming light effect as it was hidden behind the large structure's spire. Beams of light were heading in many directions, which made me curious to follow as many as the beams with my eyes as they slowly disappeared. In order to have taken this picture, I would have had to use fast shutter speeds and high aperture settings so I would be able to dim most of the light from the sun. This would make it easier to edit the photo in Photoshop with the setting used to capture the image because it would have made it less time consuming to change the properties of the photo to make the light right.

  1. Yeah you can do so many cool things in photo shop. You could a have used different aperture settings to explore with the light and blurring in the background or clear. Summer is coming so there is going to be plenty of chances to capture the right photo of cool lighting, streaks and reflections.
